Two ensembles join forces for a rich and varied program, featuring works in their original instrumentation alongside unique arrangements. The cellists and soprano will perform Heitor Villa-Lobos’s iconic Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5. The choir will perform David Lang’s Pulitzer Prize-winning work, The Little Match Girl Passion, based on the famous tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
